Daniel 5:29-6:2
New International Version
29 Then at Belshazzar’s command, Daniel was clothed in purple, a gold chain was placed around his neck,(A) and he was proclaimed the third highest ruler in the kingdom.(B)
30 That very night Belshazzar,(C) king(D) of the Babylonians,[a] was slain,(E) 31 and Darius(F) the Mede(G) took over the kingdom, at the age of sixty-two.[b]

6 [c]It pleased Darius(H) to appoint 120 satraps(I) to rule throughout the kingdom, 2 with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel.(J) The satraps were made accountable(K) to them so that the king might not suffer loss.
